So there I was smoking a halfie and cleaning my ping pong table when it hit me! I should update my sports blog! I also had the epiphany that I should start inserting PICTURES to keep your attention on my blog! So here are my brief season predictions for all the NBA teams. Keep in mind that in a weak attempt to cover up my insanely bias opinions I am going in alphabetical order.
---------------------------------------------- -Atlanta Hawks------------------------------------------------Don't get me wrong, I like the Atlanta Hawks they're a fun young bunch and they continue to show signs of improvement but fuck man I think they're kind of in purgatory for young up and comers. With that said I think they're season this year will determine a lot of their future. Given some time for development they could be a contender very soon but I don't think this is going to be the year for them. They'll continue to be a playoff team I think but not really a title contender. They just looked too depressed and depleted in that series against the Cavs. The Hawks however I believe will continue being a team that is fun to watch. They are really one of the NBA's best spoilers a lot of times they lose games you'd think they'd win but now and then they beat someone you really thought should own them. They can compete with good teams, they showed that against Miami last year but given a year a Miami/Atlanta playoffs rematch might be fun to watch. I don't see them really going any farther in the playoffs next year, they'll be there 4th or 5th seed and they'll be fine until they have to play Boston, Cleveland or Orlando because those big 3 in the east have done some work this summer. I could see one of these teams shooting themselves in the foot with their offseason manuvers but not all three. First or second round is what I think is realistic for the Hawks next year but they could pull a surprising playoff run like Denver last year given some chemistry and I think that would be fun to catch on ABC next april.
I'll also add that I think the Blazers will take the season series from the Hawks this year.
